Feedbacks from Volunteer Group Leaders:

We've received many kinds of feedback from our volunteer leaders. Their constructive comments on the event organization to the organizers have been relayed to the organizers – with their thoughtful inputs, next year's Walk'n Talk will definitely be an even bigger success.

Below we can share how their feelings about the event, the route, the activities, their group members, and many more…
The trip is fun and suitable for the event - easy to walk with nice view. The teens are generally willing to make new friends and communicate in English. I have a friend's friend who went hiking in the same place that day and, given that he didn't know the
nature of the event, he was very surprised that most of the kids were speaking in English! ……

Overall, this activity provided a good opportunity for the kids to have a choice to get some fresh air and practice English. The kids all looked happy when I said goodbye to them, which I felt very satisfied!
It was fun to be part of this function……If the same function is to be held again next year, we should put the Eco-tourist activity in the morning hike. Then we should extend the lunch break to maybe 3 to 4 hours so all the groups could sit down together and work on the lyrics and the cheers. A more English related "Top of the World" game could also take place during the lunch break. Finally the afternoon walk should be replaced by a 30 minutes walk to the end.

……it was still a very meaningful event. Thank you for the invitation.
……the event was overall successful. Thanks for all the organisation efforts and myself has truly enjoyed the time there. Most of the students were willing to speak in English, and their attitude has stayed very positive throughout the whole day, probably due to the fact that this was a voluntary event. They also had conversations in English with their new acquaintances, which I was very pleased about. One girl even expressed that she felt a lot easier and comfortable to talk in English in this sort of set up than in school, where they have been promoting an English campus.

…… The song-singing session was quite popular. The students were eager to sing the songs they know, the booklet was really useful to get this going. And this really promoted their team spirit.

As for the lunch time games, the cheer was fun and stimulating…. the students and myself have had a good time, with most of the tasks done and objectives met.
……For those who are studying in F.5 and F.6, they were able to achieve the mission, and their creativity is very good, like the old song lyric rewriting activity.
Finally, it was a great opportunity for me to speak more English. The tour was really unforgettable, and I would like to join next time.
The hike was indeed good. We enjoyed the time a lot with the sweat, the kids, the sun and Bonaqua (unlimited supply, 100% dehydration-free gurantee).
The route was a two-thumb-up one: scenic, tranquil, simply splendid.
I think you've done a fabulous job in organizing the event today! I've to thank you for giving me such a precious chance to enjoy nature with students who are passionate in improving their English communication skills, even sometimes we just talked about nonsense and random stuff about daily lives. But you know, it's motivating to see that they took the courage to speak their minds, that this kind of multi-way communication rarely happens in a classroom setting. Besides, I really enjoyed the cheer demonstration and the song part cuz I didn’t have a chance to shout in great spirit for a long time! Thanks for giving me such a memorable day :).
